There can only be one 1st

Well Its been along time since I have blogged. Actually the only time I ever blogged was on myspace, and that was years ago and I was mainly complaining about boys, hangovers and being dirt poor. Or posting song lyrics that really hit me. Don't get me wrong these topics might slip in every now and then, but ill try to keep it to a minimum.

So as my first official blog I want to give the disclaimer. I am horrible at  spelling, punctuation, and grammar. Yes i have my college education but still speak"type" like a child. So there is my apology in advance. I will use spell check, but who knows what might slip out. Sorry in advance.

In my head this blog will be used alot for whats going on in the world of Sweet Tempered and all the adventures in starting a business. However this will most likely involve alot of my home and personal life as well, due to the fact Sweet tempered is ran out of my home =)

So with that being said here is a little(or alot) about all that.

I'm blessed enough to have an amazing husband who saw I was exhausted all the time and very unhappy with my job,he knew all i really wanted to do was play with a glue gun and scissors and create unique accessories and sell them to people who has a passion for D.I.Y. so Last year on black friday was my last official day of working a normal "9-5" job. I like to think I went out with a bang on the biggest shopping day of the year. I was very sad, scared, and mostly excited!! After a few months of relaxing and catching up with dear friends. I kicked it up in gear and started Sweet tempered. I started my site on Etsy.com and word of mouth. By word of mouth and twitter i was introduced to Retro Bakery who has been kind enough to share their love for D.I.Y. and the arts. You can find Sweet Tempered located in there store at 7785 N. Durango Dr. #130, LV, NV 89131. My company started with selling checkbook covers, pocket calendars, and hair accessories, and Christmas stockings.every day I am crafting something and becoming inspired more and more!!! My husband has noticed my passion and product line increasing over this last year.He is so amazing and for Christmas is giving me the extra push and motivation I needed and he bought me, my very own domain name (www.sweettempered.com)and has giving me start up costs for all the odds and ends of opening a small online business and for a new sewing machine!!!** Please note that www.sweettempered.com will launch in mid-January in the mean time you can get your fix at www.sweettempered.net. The new sewing machine is going to be amazing and I will be entering the world of embroidery!!! I am so thrilled to see what 2011 will be holding for Sweet Tempered. It an only get bigger and better!! I want to Branch out into the craft fair market and will have my own website!! Does it get any better?!?
This is a huge deal for me and a step in the right direction and I couldn't be more thrilled (and a little nervous) So please keep coming back and reading what adventures are happening here at Sweet tempered and thank you for your support
